塘口墟社区位于广东省开平市塘口镇中部，是旧时塘口镇政府所在的圩镇，面积0.13平方千米，常住320人、户籍42户。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据百度百科，圩市形成于清光绪初年；赤九公路1928年通车，圩市随之扩大，抗战时期买卖兴旺；五座并排的粮仓则是1970年代的建筑。[2] 上世纪末起人口陆续外迁，2010年前后最少时仅剩9户人家常住。[2][3]

现状[edit]

圩里保留着碉楼、成片的骑楼、旧礼堂、旧厂房和那排粮仓，居民以零售、餐饮、工业生产和捕鱼为业，旧时的塘口渔业大队人员较多。[1] 在江门市2020年的评选中，社区党支部被评为「三个三」党建示范村（社区）。[1]

2009年前后，高校学者的「仓东计划」带动塘口一带的遗产保护；2015年起，圩内的旧建筑陆续改造，2023年11月，由粮仓改建的先锋天下粮仓书店开业。[2][3][4] 人民日报海外版2026年2月报道，面积0.13平方千米的核心区2025年接待游客超过110万人次，入驻的创客逾2000名，催生初创企业372家。[3]

2025年10月，塘口墟列入「全国文明乡风建设十大优秀案例」，由中央精神文明建设办公室公布；颁奖词所述做法，是把原住居民、回流青壮年、产业聚集者和外来创业者合称「原乡人、新乡人、归乡人、旅乡人」，使之共同参与。[5] 广东省文化和旅游特色村的第四批名单中，也有塘口墟社区。[6] 所属镇情况见塘口镇。
