小担村是广东省台山市汶村镇下辖的行政村，在镇政府所在的鱼地圩以西，东邻沙奇村，西接大担村，南面与茭一村相连，北面群山环抱，有小担水库[1][3]。村委会设在小担村，离鱼地圩约3千米，离台城约88千米[3]。百度百科记载全村户籍人口4446人，耕地3105亩[1]。

村中的冲源村是革命老区村，解放战争时期是游击队的交通联络点，1950年又有23名船工协助解放军准备渡海解放海南岛[4]。

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代，这里属新宁县海宴都，民国年间是台山县第九区下的小担乡[1][3]。人民公社时期（1958年起）称小担大队，1988年起为管理区，1999年起为村委会[1][3]。2004年调整村级建制时，原陂头村委会并入小担[1][3]。

地理环境[edit]

村境属低丘地带，有山林5630亩[2]。耕地以水田为主，计2995亩，旱地110亩[1][2]。2021年1月公布的广东省卫生村名单中，有本村的南阳、龙安、五福三村[5]。

经济[edit]

农作物以稻谷、番薯为主，饲养生猪和鹅；村集体收入主要来自鱼塘发包[1][3]。在汶村镇的规划中，小担村属于特色种植区[6]。

2018年，村里编制了2018年至2035年的村庄规划，计划投资1223.01万元，建设污水管网、硬化村道、修建文化广场等二十余项工程[1]。村里已建有一个可停放113辆车的公共停车场，并建有排球场等文体设施[1]。
