五乡村是广东省台山市汶村镇下辖的行政村，在镇的西北部，西面濒临镇海湾，东面倚着猪牯石山，南接大担村，北邻九岗村[1][2]。村委会设在梅溪村，离鱼地圩约7千米，离台城约92千米[1]。快懂百科记载全村有4362人[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，五乡一带属新宁县海宴都；民国时期设五乡乡，归台山县第九区[1]。1958年改为五乡大队，1988年设管理区，1999年成立村委会[1]。南州村有一座洪圣古庙，建于1914年[1]。

地理环境[edit]

村境是低丘和围田，有山林6290亩、咸围2500亩[1]。耕地共3128亩，旱地仅20亩，其余都是水田；相当一部分稻田有返咸、返酸的问题[1][2]。2021年1月公布的广东省卫生村名单中，有本村的中坑、下白沙两村[3]。

经济[edit]

当地出产稻谷、番薯、甘蔗和荔枝，牲畜以猪为主；咸围里主要养殖鲜蚝[1]。村集体收入靠发包市场和咸围，2009年为13.4万元[1][2]。在汶村镇的规划中，五乡村属于特色种植区[4]。
