大担村是广东省台山市汶村镇下辖的行政村，在镇的西部，北连五乡村，东面与小担村的太和村相接，南面与冲口村隔一条水道，西面与横山村隔一条公路[1]。村委会设在美东村，离鱼地圩约4千米，离台城约89千米[1]。村中的美西村是汶村镇美丽乡村示范片的重点村之一[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，大担一带属新宁县海宴都，民国时期设大担乡，归台山县第九区[1]。1958年改为大担大队，1988年设管理区，1999年成立村委会[1]。

地理环境[edit]

汶村镇在美西村一带投入一千一百多万元，建了美西古榕公园、大担休闲公园和一座综合文化广场，改造了水塘和旧房，并安装路灯、增加绿化[2]。2021年1月公布的广东省卫生村名单中，有本村的仁昌、厚和两村[3]。

经济[edit]

农作物主要是稻谷和荔枝，家禽以鹅为主[1]。村集体收入来自经营墓园和发包咸围[1]。在汶村镇的规划中，大担村属于特色种植区[4]。
