望头村是海宴镇下辖的行政村，属广东省江门市台山市，在海宴镇南部（两部百科作东南部）：南面临南海，东面是沙边盐场，西面与联南村的佑村相接，北面与春场村相邻。村域面积6.7平方千米，户籍人口1889人，分为7个村民小组。[1][2][3]

全村海岸线长约5公里，其中约3公里是沙滩，与川岛的旅游区隔海相对，坐船约半小时可到。村民向来半渔半农，近年又发展起规模化的生蚝养殖和海上观光。[1][2][3]

村子南边是海，东、西、北三面都是山。村内有坑头、岗脚、长安、南安、平岗以及新石井、旧石井共七个自然村。[1][2]

快懂百科记载全村511户、1948人；镇政府2026年的数字是户籍1889人、常住500人，村党支部有党员45人。[2][3]

经济[edit]

全村耕地1505亩，出海捕鱼的船有一百多艘，一年到头都能捕到鱼、虾、蟹。川岛风力发电互联过海电缆的终端接口也建在望头。[1][2]

村里引进海悦水产品养殖有限公司后，原本分散的生蚝养殖改为现代化、规模化经营，养殖区扩大到1.5万多亩，所产的「望头海蚝」通过了深圳的「圳品」认证。另一家新引进的海俊船舶管理有限公司做海钓和海上观光，提供持有适航证书的钓鱼游艇，给村民增加了就业机会。[1][3]

村里的党群服务中心有185.07平方米，在这里开展党员教育、老人义诊和青年读书会等活动，服务人数超过600人次。[1][3]
