石美村是海宴镇下辖的行政村，属广东省江门市台山市，在海宴镇北面（百度百科作西北部），面积9.11平方千米，分为5个村小组。镇政府2026年公布的户籍人口为1986人，常住人口800人，村党支部有党员41人。[1][2]

解放战争时期这里是游击根据地，属于革命老区。如今石美以种白花番薯、马铃薯等薯类出名，是海宴镇第二批省「百千万工程」典型村。[1][3]

现在的石美村委会成立于2004年6月，由原来的石美村委会和桂南村委会合并组成。[1]

百度百科所记的全村人口为2069人，耕地1780亩。[1] 村里主要种马铃薯、番薯、富贵竹和水稻。村党支部牵头办起尹兴蔬菜种植合作社，按「党支部+合作社+农户」的方式推广马铃薯以及一点红、白花两种番薯，统一用「宴薯」品牌销售；为扩大白花番薯基地，村里还把扶持村集体经济的资金投进与江门和兴物业管理有限公司的合作项目。村党群服务中心面积280平方米。[2]

白花番薯的花、皮和薯肉都是白色，当地叫「白龙薯」，既可生吃，也可用来煲汤。石美的沙质土适合它生长，村民还采用搭架栽培，种植面积已超过300亩。村委会把分散的地块整合成片，由合作社统一提供种苗、技术指导和农资，农户可以拿土地入股，也可以到合作社做工。为解决集中上市时卖不出、存不住的问题，村集体花9.6万元建起一座90立方米的冷库，错开时间出货，镇政府估算每年能为农户和合作社多带来约120万元收入。[3]

受石美带动，肖美村、海通村、洞安村、澳村和那陵村等也陆续种起薯类，据镇政府2025年12月的报道，全镇薯类种植面积已有500多亩。[3]
