寻皇村是广东省台山市端芬镇的行政村，位于牛围山脚下、大隆洞水库的库尾，各自然村分布在水库的东西两侧，村委会设在红旗村。[1][2][3]
寻皇属于革命老区，在抗战和解放战争中都是革命武装的活动基地；1994年，广东省民政厅授予它「解放战争游击队根据地」的名称。[4][2] 村名出自一个南宋末年寻回落难幼主的传说；部分村落的居民是1958年至1960年修建大隆洞水库时迁来的移民。[1][2]

当地流传的说法是：南宋末年元军南下，大臣们护着年幼的皇帝一路南逃到广东西南部，途中与皇帝失散，四处搜寻，最后在今大隆洞水库附近的村子里把他找回，「寻皇」由此得名。[1] 地名资料把这件事放在祥兴年间（1278—1279年），说逃到这里的是赵昺，寻回他的是丞相陆秀夫等人。[3]
明清时期此地属海晏都，民国和新中国成立初期归第八区广海管辖。1953年设寻皇乡，1957年成立农业社；1959年至1969年由大隆洞农场管理，1970年起称寻皇大队；1983年又称寻皇乡，1999年改为寻皇村委会。[3]
2019年9月，寻皇村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[3]

镇政府的介绍说，寻皇由大村（红旗、新村、东风一、东风二）以及行动、白泥塘、后门、满坑、社坑等村庄组成，人口三千多。[1] 地名资料和百度百科则记全村13个村民小组、1734人。[4][2]
地理环境[edit]
地名资料记载，全村岗地361亩、水田1215亩，共有耕地1576亩；山地约2.3万亩，其中8000亩是生态公益林，另有人工造林1.5万亩，林木有杉树、湿地松和速生桉。[4] 1977年村里通了公路，接太井线通往开平市东山，2002年全线铺成水泥路面。[4]
村子挨着的大隆洞水库位于端芬镇西部大隆洞河上游，集雨面积148平方千米，百度百科记总库容2.987亿立方米，属大（二）型水库，以灌溉为主，兼有防洪、发电等功能。主坝、副坝1958年9月开工，1959年10月完成主体工程；溢洪道1964年开建，1967年完工。库区有138个长满植被的小岛，因而有「千岛湖」之称。2025年，大隆洞水库被评为「广东省美丽河湖优秀案例」。[5][6]
水库灌区的范围，两部百科说法不同：百度百科说包括端芬、广海、斗山、冲蒌4镇和烽火角农场，原设计灌溉11.7万亩，配合下游水闸实际可灌15万亩；维基百科则列出六个镇（端芬、冲蒌、斗山、广海、都斛、赤溪），灌溉面积17万亩。[5][6]

农业以稻谷、花生、蔬菜和水果为主。[4][2] 据地名资料，2004年全村的工业和农业合计产值为2005万元，村民人均收入为2137元。[4] 百度百科记载，村里从2014年起办胡蜂养殖基地、发展生态农业；「寻皇千岛湖生态公园」在2017年开放；2025年村里又为移民聚居区申报人居环境提升工程，以带动旅游。[2]
