唐美村是广东省台山市斗山镇的行政村，属江门市，位于斗山镇东南边缘，离斗山圩约13公里，与赤溪镇的田头片区接壤，另与本镇六福村、安南村相邻，村委会驻唐岭村[1][2][3]。全村有12个自然村、12个村民小组；据镇政府2026年的资料，共786户，户籍人口3089人，常住892人[3]。西部沿海高速公路的入口离村子约1公里[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

唐美一带明清时属矬峒都；民国时期，1938年以前归五和区西南江乡，此后改属第三区的西南江乡[1][2]。1951年在第三区下设唐美乡；1958年改为斗山公社的唐美大队，1986年设唐美管理区[2]。据镇政府的名镇申请材料，人民公社初期另设有旗峰大队，一年后并入唐美[4]。

唐美村获得过台山市文明村称号[1][3]。

地理环境[edit]

村境一半是丘陵、一半是围田，农田引鲤鱼水库和猪乸潭水库（又写作母猪潭水库）的水灌溉，建有4处电力排灌站[1][2][3]。早年的资料记载，村委会到台山县城约39公里[2]。

经济[edit]

据镇政府2026年的资料，全村有水田2224亩、岗地325亩，耕地合计2549亩；主要作物有稻谷、冬瓜、花生、莲藕和木薯，畜禽以三鸟为主[3]。较早的资料所记耕地为3903亩，水田占3178亩[1][2]。

近年村里借助镇内的农产品加工园区（斗山园区），由龙头企业与农户签订单、提供技术帮扶，提高了机械化种植的水平[1][3]。早年村内办有制衣厂、红砖厂和果场[1][2]。

文化[edit]

华侨出资捐建了唐美中小学；村里另有卫生站、信用社和老人堂[1][2]。

著名人物[edit]

  • 李勉辰（1869—1929）：祖籍唐美村的华侨实业家。1883年随父到加拿大经商，1896年父子创办英昌隆商行，经营中国与加拿大之间的进出口贸易，后来生意扩展到香港、新加坡等地；1910年捐款支持广州起义，民国初年带头捐资并发动华侨兴建台山县立中学，也为唐美村捐建了新校舍[4]。
