西乔村是广东省台山市斗山镇的行政村，属江门市，在斗山镇西北部，离斗山圩约4公里，村委会驻西乔村[1][2]。村域面积5.3平方公里，北接福场村，南连秀墩村，东、西两面与冲蒌镇的福安、朝宁、前锋等村相邻[1]。全村有7个自然村、15个村民小组；据镇政府2026年的资料，共707户，户籍人口2455人，常住880人[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
西乔一带在明清时期属矬峒都[2]。民国时期，1938年以前归五和区六村乡管辖，此后改归台山县第三区六村乡[2]。人民公社时期，这里在1958年设西乔大队，1961年改称南乔大队，1968年起又叫田美大队，直到1983年[2]。1986年设西乔管理区，1999年6月改为村民委员会[2]。
2016年至2019年间，康宁、如周两个自然村被评为江门市卫生村，西乔、大美、田美、西头四个自然村被评为广东省卫生村[1]。2019年9月，西乔村被列为2018年度「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位[2]。
地理环境[edit]
村境属半丘陵、围田地区[1]。台赤公路经过村内，到台山县城约22公里[2]。
经济[edit]
全村有土地4178亩，耕地占3001亩；经济作物种植约2600亩[1]。水稻是主要产业，种植面积约2500亩，年产稻谷约468万斤，产值约560万元，为本村及周边500多人提供了就近就业的机会[1]。较早的地名资料记载，当时全村有水田2700亩、岗地276亩，合计耕地2976亩[2]。
