西海村是广东省江门市台山市冲蒌镇下辖的行政村，在镇域西部，离冲蒌圩约6千米。^[2]^[1] 全村面积4.61平方千米，分12个村民小组；据镇政府2026年的介绍，户籍382户、1484人，常住约390人。^[2]

西海村是冲蒌镇入选前两批广东省典型村的两个村之一（另一个是西坑村）。^[7] 村内的南洲、河洲等自然村保存有碉楼和侨房，冲蒌编织的展览馆和加工车间也设在村里。^[3]^[4]^[5]

历史沿革[edit]

村名“西海”取其位于冲蒌以西的海边。旧时这里水陆交通便利，曾是兴旺的集市，被人称作「西海市」。^[1]

明清两代属德行都，民国后期划归第三区的蒌南乡；1958年起为西海生产大队，1987年起改为西海管理区，委员会设在园山村，距台城约24千米。^[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域属围田区，建有电力排灌站；早年的村情资料记全村耕地1960亩，都是水田，当时各户已用上自来水。^[1]

人口民族[edit]

镇政府早年的村情介绍记全村400户、1855人；2026年的介绍为户籍382户、1484人，常住约390人。^[1]^[2] 以南洲村为例，2018年村内人口215人，而旅居海外的乡亲有500多人。^[5]

经济[edit]

西海村以种稻为主，畜养鹅、鸭、猪；工副业早年以芒芯编织和化工香精为主。^[1]

近年村里把外流的编织加工引回村中，由企业送来订单和原料，村民在村里的编织车间计件加工，车间里有20多名村民做工。据镇政府2025年的报道，村、组两级总收入两年间由267.99万元增至280.12万元，村民还为村内基础设施建设自行筹资超过100万元。^[3]

西海村先后获得「广东省乡村治理示范村」「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」「江门市基层党建示范村（社区）」等称号。^[2]

文化[edit]

冲蒌编织以竹、藤为原料，编制箩筐、簸箕等农具和器物，镇政府的报道称这门手艺源于南宋。^[3] 西海村把编织展览馆用作非遗直播间，与高校青年突击队合作在网上介绍竹编制品；又将传统编织工坊改为体验中心，2024年夏天冲蒌镇的非遗体验夏令营就在这里举办。^[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

南洲村：有村南、村北两座碉楼和宁昌黎氏学校；2016年起村民集资约230万元修葺古建筑、整治村场，村内设有编织展览馆，并入选首批「江门市红色美丽侨村」。^[5]^[6]
河洲村：村头有大榕树和文化楼，村中有两层的青砖侨房和东、西两座碉楼，侨屋门联多嵌入“冲蒌”“河洲”等地名。^[4]
