塘洞村是台山市白沙镇下辖的行政村，在镇境东北部，东面是台城河，西面靠台荻公路。[1] 村名形成于1951年土地改革时期，由今大塘村的「塘」字和今冲云村雷镇洞村的「洞」字合成。[1] 2026年镇政府资料记人口2190人，设15个村民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时，这一带属常德乡、德行都。到1945年（民国三十四年），这里归光大乡，属台山县第四区。[1] 1951年土地改革期间定名为塘洞，此后建制多次变动：[1]

  • 1954年3月为四区塘洞乡，1957年归石龙乡，1958年初又归三八乡。[1]
  • 1958年下半年称塘洞大队，属白沙公社；1959年6月三八公社分出后，改属三八公社。[1]
  • 1984年3月为三八区塘洞乡，1986年三八建镇后改为塘洞管理区，1998年成立村民委员会。[1]
  • 2004年，横村村委会并入塘洞；三八镇于2006年5月撤并，塘洞村划归白沙镇。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

塘洞村南面与冲云村接壤，北面与冲泮村相邻。[1] 全村有耕地1672亩，水田占1313.26亩；另有鱼塘212亩、岗地141亩，建有1处电力排灌站。[1] 据博雅地名网，这里属于低洼的丘陵地带。[2]

农业以种稻谷为主，畜禽主要是生猪和蛋鸭。[1] 据博雅地名网，村里出产塘鱼。[2]
