五围村是台山市白沙镇下辖的行政村，地处镇境北部的潭江南岸，隔江与开平的祥龙洲相对；东面与开平市三围村委会相邻，可达荻海圩。[1] 村子在平原上，河网密布，离台城约21千米，公路通达全村。[1] 2026年镇政府资料记人口3135人，设26个村民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，建村时村子四周都是水塘，因此得名五围。[2] 明清时这里属德行都，民国时期属台山县第四区的秩祜乡。[1] 1955年成立五围高级社，1958年改为五围大队，归三八公社；1984年改为乡，两年后设五围管理区，1998年成立村委会。[1][2] 原六槐村委会于2004年并入，组成今天的五围村委会。[1][3] 2006年三八镇撤销，五围随之划归白沙镇。[4]

地理环境[edit]

五围村西面与岗美村相邻，经岗美可通往白沙潮境。[1] 全村有耕地3252.89亩，水田占2625.16亩；另有鱼塘358亩、岗地144亩。[1] 据百度百科和博雅地名网，村里一些只能种一季的低洼田已改成鱼塘。[3][2]

镇政府2026年资料记人口3135人；百度百科记户籍人口2269人，并称全村有34个自然村。[1][3]

经济[edit]

农业主产稻谷、塘鱼和蔬菜，还有养鹅、养鸭、养鸡、养羊和养鱼的农场。[1] 据百度百科，采集蚬肉过去是村里的一项特色副业。[3] 村内有皮革制品厂、传送带厂、五金加工厂、养殖场、再生资源回收公司和石材公司等企业，还有一处老爷车赏玩休闲场所。[1]

文化[edit]

村里有小学、文化室和老人会。[1] 村党总支在2021年7月获评江门市先进基层党组织；2019年，五围村列入2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[3][2]
