下屯村是台山市白沙镇下辖的行政村，位于镇境西南部，西面隔白沙河与开平市的羊路村相对，东距台城约31千米。[1] 2026年镇政府资料记人口3651人，设25个村小组；村委会设在长安街和东兴街的交汇处。[1] 镇中心小学广育小学和白沙里市场都在村内。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时，下屯属德行都；民国时期为下屯乡，归台山县第六区。[1] 1955年，下屯乡分成下屯、墨林两个高级社；1958年成立白沙公社，这里称下屯大队。此后1984年改为乡，1986年改为管理区，1998年成立村委会。2004年，墨林并入下屯，组成今天的下屯村委会。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

下屯村东面与长江村交界，北面是江头村，南面隔着虎头型山与朗溪村相邻。[1] 据博雅地名网，村子地处低洼的丘陵地带。[2] 村里地势低，容易发生内涝，为此修建了电力排灌站和山塘围堤，白沙新排洪站也设在村内。[1]

全村有耕地3543.81亩，水田占2845.07亩；另有鱼塘746亩、岗地478亩。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以种稻谷、蔬菜为主，畜禽以生猪为主。[1] 冬季，下屯是白沙镇成片种植马铃薯的村子之一。[3] 村内有卫生站和白沙里市场。[1]

文化[edit]

白沙镇的中心小学广育小学设在下屯村。[1] 村子获评2023年度广东省民主法治示范村，名单于2024年1月公布。[2]
