三八圩是台山市白沙镇下辖的社区，位于镇境东北部，原是三八镇的镇中心和镇政府驻地，距台城约12千米，距白沙镇政府约20千米。[1][2] 社区面积约1.5平方千米，2026年户籍人口1950人。[1] 圩名来自旧时的集市日期：农历每旬逢三、逢八开圩。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

三八圩形成于明代正统年间（1436—1449年），这是博雅地名网的说法。[3]

1984年7月设立三八区时，从新三八村委会（原永红、新联两个大队）划出周坑、周美、永康、蒲康、田街、岐兴、和兴7个自然村，与三八圩合在一起，归三八区人民政府管辖；1986年三八建镇，这里改为管理区，1990年再改设居民委员会。[1]

三八镇由1959年成立的三八公社演变而来，1986年建镇，政府设在三八圩。[2] 三八镇撤销后，三八圩居委会划归白沙镇，改称「白沙镇三八圩社区居民委员会」；划入的时间，镇政府资料记为2005年，百度百科和博雅地名网记为2006年。[1][2][4]

地理环境[edit]

社区东面与塘洞村相接，南面是邹村，西面是新三八村，北面与里边村相邻。[3][1] 辖区耕地共254.25亩，水田占了215.28亩，另有山岗50亩、鱼塘60亩。[1]

人口[edit]

2026年社区户籍人口1950人，其中党员35人。[1] 辖下7个自然村和圩区共设6个小组：圩居民一、圩居民二两个居民小组，以及和兴、蒲康、岐兴、周坑4个村小组。[1] 据百度百科，原三八镇一带是台山余姓的主要聚居地。[2]

圩内有信用社、超市和日杂五金商店。[1] 街道有长堤街、河东街、胜利街、中心街、公路街、新兴街、山顶街、进步街、建设街、郊区街等。[1]

文化[edit]

圩内设有幼儿园、小学和中学。武溪中学位于公路北街，原三八中学的校址在公路街河东。[1]
