白沙圩是台山市白沙镇下辖的社区，也是白沙镇的圩镇和镇政府驻地，位于镇境西南部。社区西面与开平的沙洲圩相连，东面接下屯村，东距台城约32千米。[1][2]

圩镇面积约1平方千米，2026年镇政府资料记人口4042人，下分21条街道、11个街小组。台开两市的界河白沙河从圩旁流过；旧时新宁铁路西南支线的终点站就设在这里。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

白沙圩在明清两代归新宁县德行都，民国时属台山县第六区。1958年成立人民公社后，这里编为白沙公社的白沙镇大队，1983年改设居民委员会，2004年起称社区居委会。[1][2]

明清时期，圩内先后建起武帝庙、地帝庙和伏波楼等庙宇，现在只剩部分遗址。[1] 新宁铁路从宁城通往白沙的西南支线于1920年5月通车，终点站在圩内河南街尾，抗日战争期间被毁。[3][1] 连接台山、开平两县的中山桥建于1928年；1958年，圩镇沿河修起了防洪石砌围堤。[1]

地理环境[edit]

白沙河又叫长塘河，从开平赤水一带流来，经过白沙圩，到开平赤坎汇入潭江，是台山与开平两市的分界河，可以通行民船。[1] 社区北面是原牛角龙、茶园两个村，它们在2004年分别并入了西村和龚边村。[1]

经济[edit]

圩内有自来水厂、制衣厂、酒家和多家超市、药店、百货商店；邮政局、电信局、粮管所、工商所以及农业银行、信用社在此设点，中心医院和白沙长途汽车站也在圩内。[1]

文化[edit]

圩内的学校有萃英中学、白沙中心小学和鸿润幼儿园；文体设施有黄道益体育运动馆、老人活动中心和街道休闲小区，另有白沙敬老协会。[1]
