独冈村是广东省江门市台山市水步镇下辖的行政村，在镇境西部的潭江边，村委会设在独冈市场，离镇中心水步圩约5.5千米。[2][1] 全村面积3.3平方千米，有27条自然村，编为14个村民小组；截至2024年8月有1698人。旅居外地和港澳台的独冈人合计两千有余。[1][2] 村内的白象古寺相传始建于唐代，独冈河鲜街的食肆主打黄鳝饭和潭江出产的河鲜。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1957年，独冈一带归宝兴乡管辖。人民公社化之初，这里是红旗公社的建设大队；1961年起称水步公社独冈大队。1984年改为水步区独冈乡，1987年改称独冈村，1988年又改为管理区，到1999年恢复为村。[2][1]

地理环境[edit]

村子西面是芦霞村，北面是冈宁村和联兴村，东面和南面都与下洞村相接。境内靠近潭江，溪流交错，有山林2282亩，山塘水库3座，共105亩。[2]

人口民族[edit]

据镇政府公布的资料，全村495户、1698人，另有旅居外地的1230人、居住在港澳台的860人，以及从外省来的暂住人口51人。[2] 百度百科统计的港澳台同胞和海外侨胞合计在2000人以上。[1]

经济[edit]

村里有耕地900亩，水田占800亩，另有鱼塘355亩。农作物以水稻为主，也种蔬菜、玉米和龙眼；养殖以鸡和鱼为主。[2][1] 各自然村之间已通水泥路，自来水入户率100%，家家通有线电视，多数农户装了宽带。村里还有水步农商银行的独冈分社。[2]

姓氏宗族[edit]

村中有两条同名的东安村，一条住叶姓，一条住李姓。[2] 独冈的李姓与邻近横塘村的李姓在二世时同宗。[3] 社边村有以政黄公祠和宗达黄公祠，良步村有宏立袁公祠，坑尾村有栢寿业公祠和叶氏宗祠，这几座祠堂都已列为不可移动文物。[2]

文化[edit]

白象古寺相传建于唐代，2009年重新修建。[1][2] 村里另有南阳会馆，以及东溪、良步两处文化室。[2]
