月浦社区是广东省汕头市金平区月浦街道下辖的社区，由原月浦村改设，位于汕头中心市区以北约6公里处，是街道内人口和面积最大的社区，街道即以它命名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历，一说是此处沙滩堆积多成半月形，“浦”指水边之地，又取月明如镜之意。[1]据记载，元代泰定年间（1324年至1328年）有佘姓农民从福建迁来定居，后来林、洪、陈、曾、郑等姓也相继到此耕作，渐成村落。[1]
中华人民共和国成立后，月浦村先后属澄海县、汕头市郊区和金园区。1987年改设村委会，1993年称月浦管理区，1997年称月浦居委会，2002年称月浦社区居委会；2003年起隶属金平区月浦街道。[1]
地理环境[edit]
社区东面是韩江，西面是鮀江街道，北面连着潮州市潮安区，潮汕公路从村前经过，汕揭梅高速公路的出入口也在月浦路段。[1][2]
人口民族[edit]

社区有农田1180亩，另有鱼池540亩，菜地360亩，还有狮头鹅和生猪的养殖基地。[2]已开发444亩工业园区，有食品、服装、印刷等企业，另有仓储、物流、塑料、家具、农贸市场等行业。[2]据同一资料，2009年居委工农业总产值9.7亿元，集体收入930万元。[2]
