七合村在汕头市龙湖区新海街道，辖六合、七合两个自然村，新溪一带的主干道津东路从村旁经过，连接金新路与金鸿公路[1]。村名“七合”与周边几个“合”字村同出一源，在各合村中自北向南排第七[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

相传清同治年间，澄海外砂的谢姓人家在港堀外围的海滩上围垦成村，这一片滩地从北往南依次排列，此村排在第七位，故名七合[1]。此地宋代归揭阳县的蓬洲都，1563年澄海建县，蓬洲都随之转入澄海县，民国时仍在澄海县上蓬区。1958年建人民公社，村里成立生产大队，次年一度随外砂公社划入汕头市郊区，1961年6月重新回到澄海县，隶属新溪公社[1]。

经济[edit]

村内有耕地约1840亩，其中水田1182亩，种植水稻、甘薯、花生、玉米和蔬菜[1]。部分村民养殖“三鸟”和鹌鹑，年饲养量13万只，另养生猪三千五百多头[1]。村里有工业企业22家，以毛织服装、塑料玩具、食品加工为主，其中“咸鱼王”牌罐头年产二百多吨，销往国内外[1]。2009年村里工业产出8150万元，农业产出2771万元；村集体收入6.9万元，农民人均纯收入4680元[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月公布的名单中，七合村名列2018年度「广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」[1]。村内人口5446人、1144户[1]。
