新家园社区在珠海市香洲区横琴镇，得名于横琴开发时为岛上原住民集中兴建的安置小区「横琴新家园」。[1][2]

新家园安置小区[edit]

2009年长隆国际海洋度假区动工，横琴最古老的新村、旧村被划进园区，两村居民成为岛上最早的拆迁户，新家园就是为岛上原住民建的安置住宅。[2]2011年的报道说，小区由中国工程院院士何镜堂设计，临近十字门商务区，预计2012年春节入住。[2]共产党员网2012年的文章写道，小区由9栋住宅楼和1个商业街组成，选址由当地居民投票决定，第一批搬迁户在2012年底迁入。[3]
