夏湾社区是珠海市香洲区拱北街道下辖的社区，因主要管辖夏湾村而得名；据百度百科，夏湾之名与炮台山脚下的海湾地形有关，1986年原乡级建制撤销后，名称作为社区名保留[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

清末属香山县，民国时属中山县第五区，新中国成立后仍属第五区；1953年划归珠海县，1984年属珠海市拱北区，1988年归香洲区拱北街道[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

拉塔石炮台建于炮台山，又名狮子山，道光二十一年（1841年）所建，占地约3600平方米；巨石上刻有1845年题的“南天柱石”和1890年题的“凤山锁钥”，1986年列为珠海市文物保护单位，2015年12月升为广东省第八批省级文物保护单位[3]。紧邻的炮台山公园在夏湾路60号，1989年始建，园内设观澳亭[4]。
