丹竹头社区是广东省深圳市龙岗区南湾街道下辖的村改居社区，位于街道中部，四邻是：东边吉厦，南边南岭村，西边李朗，北面为平湖街道的白泥坑。[1]

1991年8月设丹竹头行政村，2004年11月撤村设社区居委会，2006年4月起归南湾街道。[2]

名称与沿革[edit]

围屋四周和河岸一带盛产丹竹，村名由此而来。[3] 博雅地名网载，丹竹头行政村1991年8月成立，2004年11月改设社区居民委员会，原属布吉街道，2006年4月起隶属南湾街道。[2] 原先社区面积4.5平方千米，2006年以后分出康乐社区、丹平社区工作站，现面积3.7平方千米。[2]

经济[edit]

1979年，村里办起第一间来料加工厂，是一家蜡烛厂，之后陆续引进了雅兰集团、立信染织机械、金宝通、宝鼎威物流等企业。[2] 街道网站载，辖区有33个工业园区、398家企业，企业工人约13946人。[1]

辖区与人口[edit]

街道网站（2021年12月发布）载，社区管辖人口逾6万人，其中户籍6561人、原村居民1316人；辖区内有老围、园墩、新洲、恋珠、岭背、丹平、立信7个城中村小区和合正丹郡、时光里2个花园小区。[1]
