坪西社区在深圳市龙岗区坪地街道西部，靠近深惠公路，面积12.8平方千米，下辖9个居民小组。[1] 因位于原坪地镇西面而得名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初期，坪西先后属惠阳县第三区和坪地乡；1958年公社化时成立坪西生产大队，1985年大队改乡，1986年底改称村民委员会，2004年9月农村城市化后改为坪西社区居民委员会，2006年11月成立社区工作站。[3] 当地还有「红花岭」战役发生在社区范围内。[3]

辖区另有6个花园小区。龙岗区政府网站称社区户籍人口14123人，总人口61883人。[1]
