四方埔社区在深圳市龙岗区坪地街道东南面，属龙岗河流域，面积4.5平方千米，以山地为主，下辖四方埔、牛眠岭、马塘3个居民小组。[1][2] 清乾隆四十二年（1777年），肖姓村民从梅州迁到这里建村。[3]

地名与历史[edit]

据博雅地名网，村名的由来是建村时四通八达、四面环山，南面临福神江，地势平坦。[4]

人口与经济[edit]

龙岗区政府网站称社区户籍人口917人，总人口13203人。[1] 社区内的深圳东部环保发电厂在2022年3月投产，据该网站介绍是全球单体建设规模最大的垃圾焚烧处理设施。[1] 博雅地名网所载的社区介绍称，约4平方千米的辖区被划入生态控制线。[2]

文化[edit]

四方埔舞麒麟在上世纪30年代已有名气，麒麟队人数最多时有40多人，春节、新屋落成、婚庆时都要表演。[1]
