历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，下十围一带古时是海滩和芦苇荡，俗称基围，1949年以前不称村而称“涌”，贫苦渔民在涌边搭茅寮栖身，范围内有广山涌、下沙涌、企岗涌、围仔涌4条涌。[1][2]1968至1970年间，原广山涌、下沙涌的居民被安置到今下十围，原企岗涌、围仔涌的居民被安置到今兴围，各成新村。[2]
改革开放前，下十围以水稻种植和水产养殖为主，养殖面积近1000亩。[2]自1988年起，村里3400多亩土地陆续被国家征用，用于机场建设，下十围成为土地全部被征的村。[2]
人口民族[edit]
据统计，截至2014年12月，社区常住526户、1119人，暂住人口约6万；下辖4个居民小组，社区和各居民小组分别设有股份合作公司。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，福围社区列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单；2022年8月被认定为「第二批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区」。[1]
