园东社区是广东省深圳市福田区园岭街道下辖的社区，在街道办事处的东侧，范围是红岭中路以西、红荔路以北、园岭中路以东、笋岗路以南。名称来自它处在园岭街道东部。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

2002年6月，园岭、园东、园岗、园中四个旧居委会并为一个，成立园东社区居委会，一直沿用这个名称。博雅地名网称它是园岭街道最老的社区。[1]

人口民族[edit]

住户5613户，共17839人；户籍人口12735人，暂住的有5104人。据该网介绍，居民中老年人居多，年轻人和妇女多外出上班，不少住户并不在此实际居住，流动人口也多。[1]

文化[edit]

社区由8栋高层楼和65栋多层楼组成，辖区有工交幼儿园、园岭小学二分部和红岭中学，设有图书室、星光老年之家和老人日间照料中心。[1]

园东社区在2019年9月名列2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2022年3月，深圳市住房和建设局把它认定为「第一批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区」。[1]
