桂木园社区居委会于2002年3月设立，沿用原名。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年8月，桂木园社区被认定为「第二批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区」；2019年9月，进入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]社区工作站属桂园街道办事处的基层办事机构，辖区内驻有振业集团、桂园街道办事处、中国外运等单位。[1]
