溪塘村是韶关市南雄市的一个行政村，由黄坑镇管辖，在镇的东南方向，离南雄市区28公里。村内的溪塘古村落于2009年被评为省级古村落[1][3]。

地理环境[edit]

村下分自然村6个、村民小组15个，离镇政府约5公里；博雅地名网称它是黄坑镇人口较多的村[1]。

人口民族[edit]

博雅地名网记载，村里人口共2876人，合668户[1]。

经济[edit]

水田1983亩，旱地1451亩，合计耕地3434亩；种植水稻、花生、黄烟和小辣椒，并有2个供村民使用的烟叶烤房[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历：溪指浈江；塘指驻军之处。南汉时此地靠近江西，是控扼浈水、通往南雄的要冲，长期驻有重兵，营地周围立栅栏，称作塘，村名由此而来[2]。

1958年成立坪岗生产大队；1984年1月起建溪塘乡，1987年10月改称溪塘管理区；1990年1月分为溪塘、坪岗两个管理区，1998年12月又各设村委会；2005年1月两村委会合并，成为现在的溪塘村委会[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

据南雄市人民政府网，溪塘古村落始建于公元920年，屋宇相连，巷道纵横，留有几座宗祠和刻字的石匾、石柱，2009年评为省级古村落[3]。博雅地名网称它为“雄州第一城”[1]。
