湖洞村是乐昌市北乡镇所辖的行政村。它原属大源镇，2026年大源镇与北乡镇撤并、设立新的北乡镇后，归新镇管辖。[1]村委会所在地四周环山，是一个小盆地，中间是田垌，形似枯湖；「垌」与「洞」谐音，因此得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
湖洞村在1958年建大队，1983年改设乡政府，1987年称村委会，1989年改管理区，1998年重设村委会并沿用至今。[1]原大源镇于1988年设乡、1993年设镇，2026年撤销。大源镇的情况见该镇条目。
经济[edit]
湖洞村以茶叶入选2020年8月公布的首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，2019年9月入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位，2023年4月又名列2022年度广东省乡村治理示范村的创建名单。[1]村内有湖洞绿茗茶叶有限公司的茶园和茶厂。[2]合并后，北乡镇在湖洞村委会设了便民服务点，供原大源镇村民办事。[3]
