遥田镇是广东省韶关市新丰县西南部的一个镇，2018年户籍人口38365人，地处青云山脉西南端，辖1个社区、19个行政村，镇政府设在遥田圩。[1][2]全镇面积214平方千米，邻接沙田镇、回龙镇、广州市从化区吕田镇、清远市佛冈县和英德市白沙镇。[1]1986年建镇，是新丰县人口最多的农业镇。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明隆庆三年（1569年）此地称遥田约，民国三十年（1941年）改设遥田乡；1961年成为遥田公社；1983年又改作区，1986年建遥田镇。[3]镇名的由来，据博雅地名网所载，是明洪武初年清远县在镇驻地附近设拨中所旗军屯田，又因离县城遥远，故称遥田。[3]

地理环境[edit]

镇域属低山丘陵地带，地势东南高、西北低，位于新丰、佛冈、英德三县（市）交界处，靠近珠江三角洲。[4]气候为南亚热带季风气候，据新丰县政府网站，年平均气温20.5摄氏度。[4]博雅地名网记有省道3392线贯穿境内，向西可接国道106线，通佛冈、英德，向东接省道1911线，通翁源、韶关及县城。[3]

遥田镇是新丰县主要的粮食产区。[1]博雅地名网称其还出产蔬菜和松脂。[3]2018年，镇内有工业企业12家。[1]2021年，正邦集团的现代化生猪养殖项目落户维新村，该项目列为韶关市重点项目，计划投资2亿元，预计年产值5亿元。[5]各村中，新群村种沙糖桔，南坑村种粉蕉，竹岭村种土豆，旗寮村种西瓜，江下村种莲子，分别列入广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村名单。[3]

文化[edit]

新丰县政府网站列举的旅游资源有丹桂山竹林寺（称千年古寺）、尖峰岌、狗子脑、樟树林和关帝庙，并记有市级非物质文化遗产“担丁酒”习俗。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2021年1月，遥田镇获评2020年度广东省卫生城镇。[3]2021年5月第七次全国人口普查，镇人口1.87万人，居新丰县各乡镇第3位。[3]
