夏港街道是广州市黄埔区南端的一个街道，位于珠江与东江两条干流交汇处，北以横滘河为界，东南隔东江与东莞市麻涌镇相望，西南隔珠江与番禺区化龙镇相望。辖区面积14.8平方千米，下辖6个社区；2020年第七次人口普查时常住人口44641人。[1]街道设立于20世纪80年代末，是随广州经济技术开发区建设而成的街道，辖区内有黄埔新港的港区。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

黄埔新港码头始设于20世纪70年代，港区在墩头东基，开辟于1973年，到1987年12月才并入广州港。[1][4]1984年，这片土地被划作广州经济技术开发区的西区。[3]

街道的设立时间，百度百科记作1988年12月，维基百科与博雅地名网则记作1989年1月。[1][2][3]博雅地名网还录有一说：夏港之名，据传出于清代此地曾有港口码头。[3]

此后隶属几经变动。2003年5月，广州市人民政府同意把街道办事处整个交由广州开发区管理，机构名称随之冠以「广州经济技术开发区」；2005年萝岗区成立后，街道属萝岗区；2015年萝岗区撤销，街道回到黄埔区。[2][3]

地理环境[edit]

街道的轮廓近似三角形，由珠江、东江和横滘河围合而成。[2]横滘河流经整个街道，沿岸长6.5公里。[2]气候属亚热带季风气候。[1]

经济[edit]

当地以工业为主要产业，港口物流居次；百度百科载2011年工业总产值为1435.28亿元。[1]保税社区的名称来自辖区内的广州保税区小区。[5]

交通[edit]

铁路有黄埔新港专用线，设港前站、新港站；地铁5号线在辖区设保盈大道站、夏港站和黄埔新港站。[2]

辖区分设六个社区，即墩头基社区、保税社区、青年社区、丽江社区、金碧社区与普晖社区。[2]据维基百科，作为广州开发区标志的「开拓者」雕塑，顶部的三角形即取意于夏港街道的外形。[2]
