社区以辖区内较大的住宅小区命名，取「尚」为高品质、「城」为城市生活服务之意。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，社区被确定为「广州市2021年绿色社区」；2024年11月入选「2024年广州市充分就业社区」，2026年1月又被认定为「2025年广州市高质量充分就业街镇社区」。[1]
