历史沿革[edit]
此地处于南岗村的南端，称作南岗头，社区因此得名。[1] 居委会成立于1980年4月。[2]
地理环境[edit]
东到增城区新塘镇夏埔村，南面隔东江同东莞市麻涌镇相望，西为沙步社区，北接南岗社区。[2]
人口民族[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，辖区常住1280人，流动人口1126人，有居民楼43栋。[2]
经济[edit]
社区由五家企业组成，其中有广州新型建筑材料厂、南方制碱公司、华穗轻质陶粒厂、华立化工颜料公司，以及珠江化工集团下属的广州溶剂厂。[2]
