米龙村属广州市白云区大源街道，是一个行政村，紧邻原太和镇区，距广州市区约16公里，面积约2平方千米，有4个自然村、8个经济合作社。[1][2]北二环、京港澳、华南三条高速公路从村边经过。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是一则传说：乾隆十年（1745年），江姓先祖到此开村，村西南的土丘顶上有块可晒谷的石头，据说常有金鸡带着小鸡来啄谷；村民打死一只后，母鸡领着其余的躲进石洞，村民嫌米变少，便把石洞凿大，村子因此叫「米窿」，后因「窿」与「龙」同音，改称米龙。[1]此后，1953年归和龙乡管；1973年立米龙大队；1984年改为米龙乡政府；1987年撤乡，成立村民委员会。[1]

人口民族[edit]

耕地约220亩。[1]村民的收入主要来自出租物业，以及外出打工、做生意；村里办有企业25家，厂房合计16.57万平方米。[1]据同一页面，去年集体可支配收入1447万元，其中村级350万元、社级1167万元。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2017年，米龙村被评为广东省卫生村；2020至2022年三年都在淘宝村名单上；2023年4月，它入选省乡村治理示范村的创建单位；2024年11月获认定为广州市充分就业社区（村）。[1][2]
