环滘社区是广州市白云区白云湖街道辖下的社区，由原环滘村改设，属城乡结合区。[1]村址三面有溪水环绕，旧称「环溪」，后改写为环滘，「滘」即水道，地名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期，环滘隶属番禺县第六区的石井乡，1953年改归大环乡。[1]1958年随郊区并入广州市，同年8月公社化，成为石井公社下的大环大队；1973年大环大队分出三个大队，环滘由此单独成队。[1]1984年初公社解体，环滘设乡政府，1987年又改为村民委员会，仍在石井镇辖下。[1]2002年7月撤村建居，改称环滘社区居委会，2014年2月起隶白云湖街道。[1]

文化[edit]

据街道概况介绍，环滘村村民自发成立了曲艺社，粤剧爱好者常聚在一起演唱和演奏。[2]

2019年9月，环滘社区进入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2022年11月，被经广州市住房和城乡建设局评定为「广州市2022年绿色社区」；同年还有一项荣誉：社区被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
