兵房社区是广州市白云区白云湖街道辖下的社区，属城乡分类中的主城区，社区居委会管辖原兵工厂所在的区域，地名由「兵房」而来，古时称屯兵之处为兵房。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，1933年，夏茅村让出一块土地建立兵房，目的是缓和村与村之间的矛盾，并在冲突发生时有援兵可调。[1]此后驻防此地的是中国人民解放军7431工厂，1996年该厂为了职工生活便利，申请设立了云山居委。[1]居委会在2002年易名兵房社区，并于2014年改隶白云湖街道。[1]
2024年11月，社区被认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
