平中社区是广州市白云区永平街道辖下的社区，辖区原属东平村，居委会设在东平北路。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
居委会设在东平村内，邻近钟屋经济社，取东平的「平」与钟屋的「钟」合称平中；「钟」字简化后写作「中」。[1]
辖区原由同和镇东平村管辖，2001年撤镇建街后归永平街道，平中居委会在2002年获批设立。[1]
2026年1月，社区获评「2025年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
