麦地社区在白云区京溪街道境内，居委会驻在麦地，名称与早年北方移居者在此大片种麦有关，2001年成立。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，建村时有来自北方的居民在这里大面积种植小麦，后来人们就称此地为麦地，居委会也驻在麦地，社区由此得名。社区成立于2001年，名称沿用至今。[1]

文化[edit]

2024年1月，该社区列入「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」；2024年11月，获评「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」；2026年1月，又获评「2025年广州市高质量充分就业街镇社区（村）」。[1]
