社区居委会2007年元旦挂牌，该站历史沿革栏则记为2006年7月4日[1]。
地理环境与人口[edit]
社区在东圃，面积约0.4平方千米，介于黄埔大道与中山大道之间；辖内有美林湖畔花园、前进文化广场、杨桃公园和广州市第十八中学，商住楼宇51栋，常住约6900人，户籍980人，流动人口近6000人[1]。
荣誉[edit]
社区在2021年11月入选「广州市2021年绿色社区」，2024年11月入选该年度广州市的「充分就业社区（村）」[1]。
