历史沿革[edit]
据该站正文，社区2004年元旦成立，其历史沿革栏则记为2003年9月10日，此后名称未变[1]。
地理环境与经济[edit]
社区约0.8平方千米，四至为桃园路、东环高速公路、桃园中路和中山大道；宦溪自然村之外，辖内还有荔苑楼、桃园居、顺景大厦、东环新村4个小区[1]。户籍人口1956人，外来人口约11000人；设有前进二至五社4个经济合作社，驻有武警部队和酒店、制鞋企业等18家单位，临街商铺180多间[1][1]。

宦溪凌氏原籍福建莆田，元代人凌震为番禺县东圃宦溪乡人[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月公布的广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单（2018年度）中有本社区；同年11月，市住建部门将其列入「广州市2021年绿色社区」[1]。
