长湴东社区在广州市天河区长兴街道境内，由原长湴社区一分为二而成，位于东部，故称长湴东。[1]

名称与沿革[edit]

原来的长湴社区分成东、西两个社区，长湴东社区在东边，长湴西社区在西边。[1]

2019年9月公布的「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单中，有长湴东社区；2024年11月，它又入选「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
