岑村是广州市天河区长兴街道辖内的旧村，在火炉山南麓，原名“金村”或“今村”。[1][2] 光绪年间隶番禺县鹿步司的黄陂堡；1959年入沙河公社，2002年12月起归新设的长兴街道。[1] 现分属岑村东、岑村西两个社区，以科韵路为界。[3]

村名由来[edit]

村名的来历有几种说法。一说村子明代建立时叫“今村”，“今”字当时只有皇帝才能用，于是在字上加“山”字头；另一说是“今”与“金”读音接近，村民为防盗匪来抢，改了写法；还有一说是贪官把“今村”听成“金村”，前来勒索，村人便加“山”字头来镇压。[1] 维基百科的说法则是，村子起初叫“金村”，因“金”字让外人以为村里有黄金而招来盗窃，才改成同音的“今”，后来因村在山上，再加“山”字头，意为山上富贵之地。[2]

地理与人口[edit]

岑村在天河区东北部的火炉山下，北接华观路，东面是沐陂、凌塘两村，西面是华南农业大学，南与五山街道交界。[4] 村口有水塘，名岑村大塘，水道通入村内。[4] 2021年的基础数据调查登记户籍人口5500人（1938户），流动人口64899人。[4]

祠堂与设施[edit]

村内大姓为黄姓。南街一带有黄氏宗祠（清代建，2005年重修）、远耕公祠（1883年建，1892年、2000年重修）、敬恒公祠（供奉二世祖）等祠堂。[2] 村里设有岑村车管所，还有驾校和考试场地，因此“岑村”在广州学车的人中很有名；村旁的岑村军用机场，使周边的建筑限高受到限制。[2][4]

近年变化[edit]

村子的更新改造，早在2011年就列入天河区当年的“三旧改造”计划。2021年4月公示了基础数据调查成果，5月完成改造意愿表决。[4] 2023年11月，岑村入选《广州市地名保护名录（第二批）》。[1] 2025年，广州东环城际铁路的岑村站在村边的科韵北路启用。[5] 同年，天河区还计划征收该村经济联社的集体土地1.4240公顷，另按一成安排留用地。[1]
