猎德街道在广州市天河区西南部，北临花城大道，南面隔珠江与海珠区相望，东、西两侧分别以华南快速干线和广州大道中为界，辖区面积3.6平方千米。[1]街道办事处于1999年12月经广州市人民政府批准设立，辖区主要由原猎德村的地域组成，街道也因此得名。[1][2]第七次人口普查时，街道常住人口为50063人。[1]辖区位于珠江新城南部，旧村改造后的猎德村与猎德大桥都在境内。[3][4]
历史沿革[edit]
猎德街道设立于1999年底，由天河区原沙河镇境内的猎德村一带划出组成；各来源对设立日期记为12月29日或30日。[1][5]2002年，猎德村撤销村民委员会，改为股份制的经济开发公司。[3]据博雅地名网，设立时除猎德村外还划入渔民新村等地。街道办事处驻地在海清路13号。[1][6]
街道代管三家改制公司：猎德的经济发展公司于2002年12月由原行政村改制而来，农林实业、寺右实业两家公司原为管理区，2003年12月改归街道管理。[6]各社区的成立时间与得名由来，分别见猎德社区等社区的条目。

辖区南界是珠江；东以华南快速干线为界，邻员村街道；西靠广州大道中，对面是越秀区的五羊新城一带；北沿花城大道，邻冼村街道。周边三面为交通干道。[1][2]气候属亚热带季风气候。[1]
经济[edit]
据百度百科所载，2011年街道社会商品销售总额为378.34亿元，其他服务业总产值为174.44亿元。[1]猎德村从20世纪90年代起，土地陆续被征用，村集体转以第二、第三产业为主；村属企业在珠江新城建有家居商场，曾是村集体的重要收入来源。[3]
文化[edit]
辖区内的猎德村有九百余年历史，端午节有龙舟「招景」的传统：龙舟沿猎德涌互相探访，村民在宗祠前的埠头迎接来客。[2][3]村内重建了李氏大宗祠、文昌阁（文阁庙）等建筑，2024年12月，「猎德现代化都市旅游区」被评定为国家3A级旅游景区。[2][3]详见猎德社区。

交通[edit]
猎德大桥跨珠江，一头在天河区，一头在海珠区，是一座悬索桥：2005年6月开工，2009年7月30日通车，全线4.3千米，其中主桥480米，设六条车道，造价约15.4亿元。[4]街道附近的地铁站有3号线和5号线的珠江新城站，5号线的猎德站、潭村站，另有珠江新城旅客自动输送系统的大剧院、海心沙两站。[5]
