左竹园社区是广州市天河区沙河街道东北端的社区，面积0.18平方千米。[1] 东边以禺东西路同林和街道相接，西以濂泉路同先烈东横路社区分界，南隔先烈东路与西街社区相邻，北到广深铁路，对面是沙东街道。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
社区名称的来由是：1949年以前这里是一片竹林，居民区在竹林左侧，因此叫左竹园。[1] 这里最初是沙河街的「第一居委会」（1962年5月），1996年1月11日起叫左竹园居委会。[1]
社区概况[edit]
居委会办公用房使用面积139平方米，设有多功能活动室、警务室、图书档案室、人民调解室、老年人活动室和健身路径等；乒乓球室、健身室、图书阅览室等则与驻区单位共用。[1] 2024年11月，社区获评「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
