海天社区是广州市海珠区南华西街道辖内的社区，名称同辖区内的波楼有关。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
波楼是粤海关俱乐部为往来商船修建的天气预报信号台，需要挂风球时就在台上悬挂；粤语把球叫“波”，所以称为波楼。相传站在台上用高倍望远镜可以远望虎门，这里因而有“海天四望”的说法，社区也就叫海天。[1]
2002年3月，原洪德路居委会的部分路段、宝恕居委会、波楼居委会和旧海天居委会合并，成立新的海天居委会。[1]
社区2021年11月列入「广州市2021年绿色社区」，2024年11月入选「2024年广州市充分就业社区」，2025年5月入选「2025—2026年全国示范性老年友好型社区」创建名单。[1]
