郭墩社区隶属广州市海珠区，由素社街道管辖，由旧时的郭村发展而来：村里住的是郭姓人家，村子又建在一处较高的土墩上，故称郭墩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

2002年7月，素社街道1、3、9、19、20号居委会各取一部分，合并成立郭墩居委会。2024年11月，获评「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]
