芳草社区是广东省广州市越秀区大塘街道下辖的社区[2]，属主城区，邮政编码510030[1]。明代辖内已有芳草街，社区以街名为名[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1957年，定名第五居委会；1966年，启用“第五居民革命委员会领导小组”之名，至1977年，并入中山四路居委会，易名为第八居委会；1984年，易名为第十二居委会；1988年，易名为芳草街居委会。二〇〇二年的调整中，中四东、豪贤里、东方里、越秀北、东风中、芳草街六个居委会的一部分地段重组，称芳草居委会，名称延续至今[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2024年11月，获评「广州市充分就业社区（村）」（2024年度）[1]。
