周山村是福建省宁德市福鼎市佳阳畲族乡下辖的行政村，位于福鼎市东北部，坐落于闽浙交界的天湖山下，距城关约28千米。全村辖10个自然村，共367户，总人口1265人。[1][3]

村民以周姓为主，开村历史可追溯至五代时期。1935年，中共鼎平县委在村中成立，村庄是闽东、浙南边界的革命老区。[2][3]

地名由来[edit]

村中周姓族人先称周家山，后音转为周佳山，划分行政村时定名周山。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，开村的周氏先祖于五代后晋天福三年（938年）自河南迁至天湖山下。清乾隆四年福鼎置县后，村庄属二十都；民国时期隶属前岐区。[2]

1935年6月，闽东特委在村中成立中共鼎平县委，同期设立上东区苏维埃政府，周山由此成为闽东、浙南的重要革命根据地。[2]

新中国成立后直至2001年，村庄隶属前岐镇；2001年1月起，划归新设立的佳阳乡。[2]

文物古迹[edit]

村中有中共鼎平县委旧址，另有红军练兵场遗址，二者均为革命纪念场所。[4]

福鼎市文物古迹页（2012年）载，周山村为宁德市级历史文化名村；博雅地名网则载，该村2008年入选宁德市第一批历史文化名村。[5][2]

文化[edit]

周姓族人历来重视读书，村中修谱建祠、设有私塾。据博雅地名网，清代该村出过周国镗等4名进士。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年2月，周山村被列入「福建省第三批省级传统村落」。2021年11月，村庄获得「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。2022年3月，它获「2021年福鼎市平安村（社区）」的命名。2025年3月，「第七届全国文明村镇」授予周山村。[3]
