村名来历[edit]
村名取自象山。据村情页，最早的开村先民由象山迁至现址，之后逐渐形成如今的村落。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村域总面积约5.2平方千米，地势北高南低，以山地为主，海拔一般在150至200米之间。村内象洋溪流经，下游有一座水库，供农业灌溉之用。[2][3]
村内属亚热带海洋性季风气候，年降雨量约1450毫米，雨季集中在4月至9月，7月至9月为台风季节。[2]
人口与民族[edit]
据2022年村情页，全村共423户，总人口逾1800人。畲族约900人，所占比例为51%。百度百科载2016年5月户籍人口1633人，两者统计时间不同，此处以村情页为准。[1][2][3]
行政区划[edit]
全村辖12个自然村，其中水岐、牛车岚、老虎坟、红旗岭、大山和过坑六个为畲族村。外塘岐与内塘岐靠海，其余村落位于内陆山区。[1]
