亭边村位于福鼎市西北部，104国道贯穿全境，交通便利。村名的来历是旧时村旁有一座凉亭。[1][2]

人口与村域[edit]

博雅地名网载，村域面积约2平方公里，全村人口820多人，分散居住于五个自然村。少数民族人口300多人，占全村人口的38.2%，是省定的少数民族村。这些数字未注明年份。[1]

村民利用农地种植大白茶，并依溪建有水库与小型水电站。[1]

1953年，此地曾是第十区区公所的驻地。1958年归管阳乡管辖。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年3月，村庄被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安村（社区）」。[1]
