章峰村位于管阳镇东北角，北接浙江省泰顺县，南与柘荣县毗邻。村名原作樟峰，因村中樟树多、周围群山环绕而得名，后改写为章峰。[1][2]

省爱卫办于2021年11月授牌，章峰村成为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2022年3月，村庄被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安村（社区）」。[1]
